LANGSTON UNIVERSITY ALLIED HEALTH BUILDING

The Langston Allied Health Building is a combination of an historic 1920s building, along with an adjoining 2009 addition. Throughout the years since the 2009 addition, there has been significant deterioration of the structure’s envelope, including a significant and multi-faceted water intrusion, along with façade spalling. The scope of this project included an exterior assessment to identify and provide solutions for all of the various water intrusion locations, along with phasing and estimating the cost implications to remedy the building failures. The scope will require a new roof, replacing cast stone panels on façade, replacement of cast stone parapet cap with wood and metal coping and re-flashing, tuckpointing on parapet and historic exterior, replacing all existing perimeter sealants and window head flashing at windows, curtain walls and doors, and expansion joint replacements throughout.
